Yes, some years ago long-time member Rod Kane designed and ran this event around West Auckland, and with such great success we have asked Rod to do it all again for us. Rod’s comments about this coming event… “Don’t worry as my sick sense of humour hasn’t diminished any so the new questions will try the patience of everyone. The road trip itself is as identical to the original as I can remember...it was quite a nice back country drive and I want to preserve that. I have avoided a dangerous road crossing too, so have safety in mind. The rally is all about answering dopey questions and getting the timing right, points lost for arriving back early or late, so it won’t be a race.” This event will take place on a Saturday for a change as a number of members are unable to attend Sundays, so keep this date free! We will meet in Waitakere Township by the school at 10.00am (see map overleaf) and begin sending cars off at 10.15am. The event is in three stages and should take no more than two hours (unless you extend your arguments!) We will be finishing again at the school in Waitakere Township and you will then make your way to the Riverhead Tavern in Queen Street (see map overleaf) for lunch, results and prize giving.
