Meguiar's Classic Car Fun Run (All Day)

Organised by the MG Car Club, this “open to all” event is one of the biggest classic car driving events on the calendar. You will be joining 200 other cars of all marques and driving to one of the available 6 destinations.

Entrants all gather at the Ellerslie Racecourse and then set off for a pleasant country drive finishing at their selected picnic location in time for a leisurely lunch.

RUN 1: to Tapapakanga Regional Park

 

RUN 2: to Awhitu Regional Park

 

RUN 3: to Cobourne Reserve

 

RUN 4: toWestbrook Vinery  

 

RUN 5: to Matua Valley 

 

RUN 6: to Scandrett Regional Park    

You must pre-register to enter this event. Entries cannot be accepted on the day. Please note that individual entries are required for each car entering. Further details of each run are on the entry form.

Meet at Kaimai Cafe about 9-30.

Leaving time by 10-00am.

Take a run Arapuni Lake way to Te Awamutu.
Then out towards Te Kawa and to Pirongia 4 Lunch at a café.
After lunch we can then decide which way we take home.

KOWHAI COAST RUN - 28 FEB 2010 (All Day)

Meet at the Albany pub at 9.30am for a 10am departure.

 

We will be taking the scenic route across to State Highway 16, up to Wellsford, and then crossing over to the East Coast to wind our way around the coast ending at the picturesque Whangateau Reserve for a picnic lunch.  After lunch, feel free to head into Matakana to enjoy wineries and many boutique shops.

 

The actual run is approx 120 km, and please be aware that there is a 2.4 km section of gravel road during the run.

 

What to bring:

·        Sunshine

·        Picnic lunch   (nothing to purchase at the reserve itself)

·        Sunscreen and a hat

 

Let’s enjoy this fabulous weather with some summer top down driving, all members welcome.
